The Club fired up in 1994, mainly to provide
an organisation so that when the toy was complete there would be
others
to play with. In addition, it gave members a medium
to promote the Cobra legend and assist fellow builders complete
their projects.
So twelve years on we have progressed to around fifty to sixty
members, over thirty registered cars and a club
structure to generally cater for like minded
individuals.
What do we do? The aim of the club is to provide a meeting point
for our members to discuss Cobra trivia, whether they
be building, driving, or registration
related problems. Whether you be a builder or a buyer there are
decisions to be made. Such as what manufacturer, cost, what about
registration requirements and insurance. Most of us have been
down this road and can advise our solution. And we do other
things like weekenders away, bush brekky or bbq, shed runs, kart
nite, any fun things.
When do we meet? Club meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday
of each month at the Veteran Car Club, 265 Hale
Road Forresfield, and weather
permitting we hold a club run for everyone (tin tops included)
on the second weekend
each month. Sometimes in the morning,
sometimes in the evening, but cruzin' in a group of 8-10 Cobras
is a buzzzz.
Still interested? Club membership is the way to go if you decide
to build your Cobra dream machine. Members are
welcome to join in on club runs to experience the
legend. Avoid the traps, join the club before you take the
plunge.
So go for it. Fill in the membership application form and post.
You will receive by mail or email, monthly meeting minutes and
our club magazine the 'Snakeskin'. Annual
subscription $50.
